New photos for my Etsy shop :)

I decided my old photos on Etsy look like dog poop and make my accessories look dull when in fact they are super bright and colourful. So I decided to go with a more colourful photo approach! Here's a few of my products that I re-photographed last night, I know Etsy suggests natural light but the natural light here is like standing next to the sun or trying to take a photo next to a supernova so I just took them under artificial light.

End detentions at Guantanamo Bay

"Secret detentions, torture and unfair trials. These abuses have been committed at Guantanamo Bay in the name of the "war on terror" since the first detainees were transferred there on 11 January 2002.
With more than 150 detained today, the facility represents a decade of damage to human rights.
Let's use this 10th anniversary to keep up the pressure and demand all detentions at Guantánamo Bay end once and for all.
Add your signature and we'll deliver it directly to President Obama ahead of his State of the Union Address on 24 January
Our international pressure can and will help support calls for change. Add your name today.
Petition text: We call on the United States President Barack Obama to address the detentions at Guantanamo Bay as a human rights issue that requires urgent attention.
  • Guantanamo detainees should either be charged and prosecuted in fair trials or released to countries that will respect their human rights, including into the USA if that is the only available option;
  • The US military commissions, which do not meet international fair trial standards, should be abandoned, as should any pursuit of the death penalty;
  • Former or current US officials responsible for human rights violations must be held to account, including in respect of crimes under international law such as torture and enforced disappearance by bringing them to justice. Victims of human rights violations must be provided genuine access to effective remedy;
  • The USA must recognize the applicability of, and fully respect international human rights law, when conducting counterterrorism operations, including detentions in Guantanamo, detention facilities at Bagram in Afghanistan and elsewhere."

We miss you magic land!

Took a trip to the Brisbane Gallery of Modern Art today! They had the most amazing exhibit called 'We miss you magic land!' Words can't describe how awesome it was so I shall put up some images to show you! I didn't take these images (forgot to put the memory card into my camera!) but they definitely capture the magic :)

Anyone who lives in the Brisbane area should definitely check it out! Plus entry into GoMA is free! I wish I could have taken some of the installation home with me ^_^

Coal Seam Gas

From Sydney’s water supply catchment to the rich agricultural lands of the Liverpool Plains and the Darling Downs, the coal seam gas industry is expanding at breakneck speed. People's health is under threat, our nation's farmland being eroded away and the country's precious aquifers permanently damaged.

Locals are doing everything they can to spread the word about the dangers of coal seam gas (CSG) mining. Debbi, a GetUp member from Tara QLD, even drove 5 hours down to NSW to tell a community meeting what coal seam gas is doing to her kids' health.

But the mining industry just launched an advertising blitz -- now the community campaign has to step up in response. Let's stand with them.

Can you show your support by calling on the Health, Environment, Water and Agriculture Ministers to stop the coal seam gas industry until proper regulations are put in place?

Follow this link to sign the petition and say no to coal seam gas http://www.getup.org.au/campaigns/coal-seam-gas/csg-ad-petition/dont-risk-coal-seam-gas
